Merrow & Daughters Build had a house footprint to place on a 1-in-8 slope and a digger booked for the following week. Rhea Merrow asked for setting-out, which is one visit, stakes and offsets, at $720.
Tomasz Reyes set the tripod once the line had been walked. Felix Marlowe drove the stakes and pulled the string for each corner, and every offset was marked so the crew could check the line without a second visit.
The crew set out from the stakes the same week. Nothing about the visit is special to a slope: the hour on the ground has the same five stages, and the published price for a builder is the same $720 within 40 km of Ferrow Lane.
