About
Wariate Shifts was founded in 2019 and works from the 2nd floor, 18 Coldharbour Yard, Westmere. The product is the week you already write, moved off a private sheet and onto the phones of the people who work it.

\ The office /
Founded in Westmere
Wariate Shifts was founded in 2019. The office is on the 2nd floor, 18 Coldharbour Yard, Westmere. It is rota software for independent shops: lay out the week, collect availability, swap shifts, cover sick days, and prepare hours for payroll.
The managers it is written for run 1 to 6 locations and 5 to 60 staff. Many of those shops open before 08:00, so the day here starts earlier than a typical desk. Support is open Mon–Sat 07:00–19:00.
The office itself can be reached Mon–Fri 08:30–17:30, on +1 555 0187 or at demo@wariate-shifts.example. A demo can be held at your shop if the shop is in Westmere. Everywhere else, the hour is a video call at 10:00, 13:30 or 16:00.
The product is the week on one sheet. The office is a single floor above Coldharbour Yard, and the people who answer are the seven named below.

Nine years of paper sheets
Hanna Rautio is co-founder, product. She ran a bakery floor for nine years before Wariate Shifts. The rota in those years was a paper sheet, written in pencil, copied forward when the week looked like the last one, and rewritten when it did not.
The early names had to be right before the shop opened. A phone call on Friday was sometimes the only way to fix a weekend start. She still treats the sheet as the object that already knows the week, and the copying as the part that wore people out.
The product follows that order. It starts by copying last week’s pattern. It does not start by asking a manager to describe the shop in the abstract.
In the demo, the first ten minutes are that same question: how do you lay out the week now, on paper or in a spreadsheet? The next twenty-five minutes put that answer onto next week’s grid.
\ The method /
Why it starts from paper
The product starts from paper because that is where the week already is. A spreadsheet counts as the same thing. Both are a grid of names and days that someone checked by eye.
Copy last week’s pattern, drag people into the gaps, and publish to everyone’s phone. Those three steps are the whole of laying out the week. Staff can keep a paper copy on the wall.
The phone view is the same week, not a second rota. Availability, swaps, sick days and hours sit on that grid afterwards. They do not ask you to rebuild it.
Tomás Aguilar, co-founder, engineering, builds those later changes so they land on the week you published, rather than in a separate list. A swap waits for your approval. The first yes on a sick day fills one open shift.
The Sunday export reads the hours, including breaks, from the week the floor worked.

There is no wider cast behind the names. A demo, a setup session, an early-morning support reply and a question about the bill all come back to this list. Portraits are not part of how we introduce them.
The work is the week, the hour, and the reply within 1 working day.

A day at Coldharbour Yard
The day starts at 07:00, when support opens for shops that open early. Mei-Lin Ho covers that early shift. The first demo is at 10:00.
Setup sessions run at midday: ninety minutes to enter staff and patterns. The 13:30 demo follows, then the 16:00 demo. Each demo is 60 minutes and has the same four parts.
Your week, then next week built from your sheet, then a live availability request, a swap and a sick day, then prices and questions. Draft rotas go out by email before 17:30. A booking is answered within 1 working day, and the draft after a demo is sent within 1 working day as well.
Office hours for a call are Mon–Fri 08:30–17:30. Support stays open until 19:00, and it is open on Saturday. The paper-sheet import is separate from the midday setup, and it is booked as its own one-off.
