Projects onthe record

Three Metro Vancouver projects are written up here with the year, the scope and the establishment record after 24 months. Each one started as a site survey.

Three jobs on record

Daichi Landscapes keeps three project records on this page, all in Metro Vancouver, all run through the same six stages from site survey to 24 months of aftercare. They are a college forecourt, a hospital courtyard and a civic street. The facts here are the ones we repeat everywhere: year, scope and trees or courtyards established after 24 months. Hana Mori-Ellis wrote the planting plans. Tom Okafor led planting. Samuel Quist coordinated aftercare. Prices on the pricing page are current starting prices, not reconstructions of these invoices.

Northshore College forecourt

64 trees · 1,800 m²

Northshore College forecourt was planted in 2024. The client is a college, the place is Metro Vancouver, and the scope is 64 trees and 1,800 m² of planting. The forecourt is a campus ground: young trees set into pale paving where people cross between buildings.

The job used our ordinary sequence, from the site survey in weeks 1–2 to the handover walk in week 12, then seasonal aftercare. After 24 months, 62 of 64 trees were established. Priya Raman keeps that establishment figure with the case record. It is the number we cite for this forecourt, unchanged.

Hospital · Metro Vancouver · 2023

Riverside General Hospital courtyard

3 courtyards · sensory garden

Riverside General Hospital courtyard was completed in 2023. The client is a hospital, the place is Metro Vancouver, and the scope is 3 courtyards and a sensory garden. Benches and grasses sit in the courtyards, and the garden is planted for close, everyday use by people on the site.

After 24 months, 3 of 3 courtyards were established. Elise Brandt’s irrigation work and Samuel Quist’s aftercare both ran on this job, because a working hospital courtyard has to be watered and then watched. The record we publish for Riverside is those 3 courtyards, established.

Civic street · Metro Vancouver · 2025

Fraser Street renewal

1.2 km · 112 street trees

Fraser Street renewal was planted in 2025. The client is a civic street, the place is Metro Vancouver, and the scope is 1.2 km and 112 street trees. Trees stand in a renewed street with a planted median, each pit set out from the survey and each guard included in the way we plant street trees.

After 24 months, 109 of 112 street trees were established. That is the case figure for Fraser Street. The street is the clearest view we have of a long run of new trees, one planting contract, one aftercare period.
