Aftercare for24 months
Every planting contract includes 24 months of aftercare, coordinated from handover. The year splits into four seasons of visits, watering and winter work.
24 months on every planting contract
Aftercare at Daichi Landscapes runs for 24 months on every planting contract. It starts at the handover walk in week 12, and Samuel Quist coordinates it from the yard. The 24 months are company policy, stated the same way on a college, a hospital and a street. A seasonal aftercare visit starts at $420 CAD.
We record establishment at the end of the period. Northshore College forecourt, planted in 2024, shows 62 of 64 trees established. Riverside General Hospital, completed in 2023, shows 3 of 3 courtyards established. Fraser Street renewal, planted in 2025, shows 109 of 112 street trees established.

The year in four seasons
Mar–May
Spring
Spring is when new planting and the first care of last year’s trees overlap. Street trees planted under the $680 CAD rate carry 2 seasons of watering, and spring is when that watering is checked, stakes included. Samuel Quist lines up the seasonal visits, from $420 CAD, on campuses, courtyards and streets that are already in their 24 months. Forecourts that flower in spring, with seating out and trees in leaf, are walked so the crew sees what winter left. New work still begins with a survey. Spring does not skip weeks 1–2 just because the ground looks ready.
Jun–Aug
Summer
Summer care is watering and irrigation. The 2 seasons of watering included with a street tree are there for this part of the year as well as spring. Elise Brandt’s irrigation lines, in beds, planters and green roofs, are checked while they are actually running. A green roof installed from $145 CAD per m² needs that check as much as a courtyard does. Campus grounds on a monthly maintenance price, from $3,400 CAD up to 2 ha, are kept in use through the summer rather than closed for the crew. Visits stay on Samuel Quist’s list. We add a visit when the plan calls for one, at the $420 CAD rate.
Sep–Nov
Autumn
Autumn is the season between watering and pruning. Aftercare visits look at how the year’s planting has taken before growth slows: stakes, ties, and trees that need a note before winter. Samuel Quist books those visits across the contracts that are still inside their 24 months. Priya Raman reads the notes that will matter for winter pruning. Campus and hospital grounds stay open. A civic street does too. Autumn is also when a client can book the next survey. The planting plan that Hana Mori-Ellis writes in weeks 3–5 can be ready before a winter slot, including the slots open for 2027.
Dec–Feb
Winter
Winter is pruning season, and it can be planting season. Winter pruning starts at $1,950 CAD per day for a crew of 3. Priya Raman directs the cuts. The day rate is how a dormant tree on a campus, in a courtyard or on a street is handled inside aftercare. Winter planting slots for 2027 are open. A slot still begins with the site survey in weeks 1–2, at the $1,200 CAD starting price, and still ends its first year at the week 12 handover before the 24 months begin. The yard is not a Sunday operation. Saturday 8:00–12:00 is for pickups only.
Who you hear from
Samuel Quist is the aftercare coordinator and the person who schedules the 24 months. Priya Raman is the arborist on pruning and on establishment counts. Elise Brandt is the person on irrigation when summer asks a question about a line, a planter or a green roof.
You reach the yard at +1 604 555 0148 or hello@daichi-landscapes.example, Monday to Friday, 7:00–17:00. The office is Unit 4, 210 Mill Creek Road, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1Z3, Canada. Bring the site and the year it was planted. We will match it to the contract and to the 24-month record.

Winter planting slots for 2027 are open.
