A maintained hospital courtyard with benches and grasses

About DaichiLandscapes

Daichi Landscapes Ltd. has planted for campuses, hospitals and civic streets in Metro Vancouver since 2009. The yard is in Vancouver, and the crew numbers 28.

Since 2009

Founded in 2009

Daichi Landscapes Ltd. was founded in 2009 by Hana Mori-Ellis, landscape architect. The company plants and maintains campuses, hospitals and civic streets across Metro Vancouver. The yard and office are at Unit 4, 210 Mill Creek Road, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1Z3, Canada. From the start the work has been the same shape it is now: a survey, a planting plan, preparation, planting, a handover walk and aftercare.

Hana still writes the plans. The phone is +1 604 555 0148 and the email is hello@daichi-landscapes.example. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00–17:00. Saturday 8:00–12:00 is yard pickups only. Sunday is closed.

A hospital sensory garden with planted beds and a gentle path

From the hospital to the street

The recent record runs in order. In 2023 the company completed Riverside General Hospital: 3 courtyards and a sensory garden. After 24 months, 3 of 3 courtyards were established. In 2024 the company planted the Northshore College forecourt: 64 trees and 1,800 m². After 24 months, 62 of 64 trees were established.

In 2025 the company planted Fraser Street renewal: 1.2 km and 112 street trees. After 24 months, 109 of 112 trees were established. These are the three cases we write out in full. They are not a selected highlight reel with the counts removed. Each one is a planting contract with a public establishment figure.

A crew of 28

The crew is 28 people. Six of them lead the work you will meet by name. Hana Mori-Ellis is founder and landscape architect. Marcus Delgado is operations lead. Priya Raman is arborist. Tom Okafor is crew lead for planting.

Elise Brandt leads irrigation and green roofs. Samuel Quist is aftercare coordinator. The other hands are the planting crew, the preparation crew and the aftercare crew those six direct. We state the crew size here, as 28, so the scale of a week on site is clear. Marcus schedules that crew. The yard they leave from each morning is the Mill Creek Road address.

Company policy

Policies we actually plant to

Three policies apply to every planting plan, whether the client is a college, a hospital or a street team. 80% of planting stock is grown within 150 km. 24 months of aftercare are included on every planting contract. 60% of the species in each plan are native or adapted. The policies are older than any one case and they were used on the 2023, 2024 and 2025 jobs alike. Starting prices sit beside them: survey and plan from $1,200 CAD, street trees from $680 CAD, campus maintenance from $3,400 CAD per month. Winter planting slots for 2027 are open if you want the next survey booked.
