Add your own logo and photos by chatting

Your site should show your own logo and your own photos, not stock pictures. In ShipPress you attach pictures right in the chat and say where they go. In this tutorial I add a logo to the header of Pier 7 Coffee, use it as the browser tab icon, and add two pastry photos in a new home page section.

By Oberon Lai. I make ShipPress (Codotx, LLC), so this is our own product. There are no affiliate links on this page.

  1. Attach a picture

Open your site and start a Worker. Click the paperclip below the message box and pick a picture. You can also paste a picture with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac), or drag it onto the chat.

PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF work (SVG and PDF don't), up to 10 MB each and up to 6 pictures per message. Each one shows as a small thumbnail above the message box.

  2. Say where it goes

Write what the picture is for, in plain words. For example: “Use this picture as the site logo, in the top left corner of the header on every page, about 56 pixels tall.” Then press Enter.

The Worker looks at the picture first, so it knows what it shows, then adds it to your site. A logo in the shared header appears on every page.

  3. Allow the steps that change your site

Before the Worker adds a file to the site's Media Library or saves a shared part like the header, ShipPress shows a card and asks. Read it and click Allow.

  4. Not quite right? Just say so

Click Refresh above the preview to check the result. In the video the logo first came out too small, because the design shrank anything in its logo spot. I told the Worker “The logo still looks tiny in the preview. Please check the header layout.” It found the cause and fixed it.

The suggestions under each answer help too. Use the logo as browser tab icon makes it the site icon for browser tabs and bookmarks.

  5. Add several photos at once

Click the paperclip again and hold Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) to pick several photos. Then describe what to build with them, for example: “Add a Fresh from the oven section on the home page, right under Seasonal specials, with these two photos: Butter croissant $4.25 and Cinnamon roll $4.75. Keep the same style as the rest of the page.”

The Worker matches each photo to the right item and builds the section in the same style as your design.

  6. Find your pictures in WordPress

Click any picture in the chat to see it larger. From there you can also add it to the site's Media Library yourself.

Open the Dashboard tab and go to Media: the logo and the photos are there with clear names, ready to use anywhere in WordPress. Switch the preview to Phone to check the mobile layout.

  7. Undo with History

Every finished change saves a restore point under History, so you can go back any time. Nothing goes online until you click Go live.
