Coming alongside

Arrival by sea

Call the marina on VHF channel 12 before you come alongside, and wait at the fuel berth until you are given a place. The fuel berth is where the morning round starts at 06:30, and it is where Samir Haddad handles fuel and pump-out from 07:00 to 19:00. A visitor berth can be on any pontoon. The office will say whether you are going to A, B, C or a short stay that does not need a season agreement. Ines Marlow’s round and Mei Lin Choi’s evening check at 21:00 both cover the pontoons you may be lying on. If you arrive by road instead, the Harbour Office is at 2 North Quay, Wrenhaven.

Visitor night

A visitor night on any pontoon is €3.20 per metre, VAT included. The charge is per night and per metre of boat. It is separate from the season fees: those are €1,680, €2,340, €3,120 or €960 for the whole season, depending on the berth. A visitor night does not reserve a berth for 1 April, and it does not take the place of a request from 10 January. Pay and paperwork are handled from the office. If you decide to stay for a season after a night alongside, Ada Okonkwo will tell you whether a finger or a swing mooring is free, and Tomas Reyes will walk that berth with you before you sign.

The office

Office hours

From April to October the office is open every day from 07:00 to 19:00. From November to March it is open Monday to Saturday, 08:00–16:00. Email office@tomarimarina.example. On the water, VHF channel 12 is the call. The season afloat is 1 April to 31 October, which is also when the morning round runs at 06:30 and the evening check is at 21:00. Outside those months the pontoon routine changes with the shorter office hours, and many boats are ashore. The yellow board in the harbour office repeats the day’s hours so you can read them without asking at the counter.
