A berth at Tomari Marina is a place on a named pontoon and a conversation that starts again each morning. Ines Marlow leaves the fuel berth at 06:30 and walks Pontoon A, Pontoon B and Pontoon C before she finishes at the outer moorings. The round takes about 50 minutes. She looks at lines, fenders and the water alongside, and she stops when an owner is already on deck. The boat stays in sight of the office at 2 North Quay for the whole season.
That season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Requests open on 10 January, a 25% deposit holds a signed berth, and the balance is due by 1 March. Lucie Brandt has run the marina on those dates since 2019. One hundred berths is the whole harbour: 36 on A, 28 on B, 14 on C and 22 swing moorings. When a boat comes back in the spring, the same pontoon, the same crew and the same 06:30 round are already there.

Three pontoons and 22 swing moorings make 100 berths.
Pontoon A has 36 finger berths up to 7.5 m, with 2.0 m at low water. Pontoon B has 28 berths for 7.5–10 m, with 2.4 m at low water. Pontoon C has 14 berths for 10–12 m, with 3.0 m at low water. The outer basin holds 22 swing moorings up to 9 m, in 3.5 m of water. Water and 16A power run along A, B and C, and the morning round visits them in that order.

Every season day the round starts at 06:30.
The walk begins at the fuel berth, where Samir Haddad keeps fuel and pump-out, and it takes about 50 minutes. From there it goes along Pontoon A, then B, then C, and it ends at the outer moorings. Lines, fenders and the water alongside each boat are looked at while the planks are still quiet. Mei Lin Choi makes a separate evening check at 21:00, after the quay has emptied.

( ketch, 9.4 m )
The ketch that came back
Marta and Joe Ellery keep a 9.4 m ketch at Tomari, and this entry is the season she came back to the North Quay. They stepped from the pontoon onto the deck, an older couple with the mooring line already in hand, and settled her on the finger they had left. The 06:30 round had already looked at the cleat. They asked for the same berth through to 31 October, then went about making her ready. The logbook records the return and very little else: the boat, the length, the quay.

( dayboat, 6.2 m )
A tiller, one coat a day
Nadia Haddou’s dayboat is 6.2 m, small enough for a finger on Pontoon A, where berths run up to 7.5 m. In the boatyard shed she varnishes the tiller one coat a day, with the window light across the wood, and she lets each coat dry before the next. Henrik Vale keeps the shed open while the travel lift works outside. When the tiller is ready she carries it back and ships it. The logbook keeps her method in the title, then notes only that the boat was back on her finger for the season.

( sloop, 8.8 m )
Home before the weather
The Osei family’s sloop is 8.8 m. They brought her in at dusk, ahead of the weather outside the basin, and a crew member took the line at the cleat as she came alongside. Mei Lin Choi was on the evening watch for the 21:00 check, and the pontoon was clear for them. The logbook records a short arrival: home before the weather, lines made fast, the basin quiet enough for the night. Once the boat was secure they went below. The berth held her until morning.
Book a seasonberth.
A season berth at Tomari is arranged in three parts. The pontoon key comes later, on the first morning round of the season. Fees are in EUR and include VAT. The season you are booking runs from 1 April to 31 October.
Request
From 10 January, ask for a berth for Season 2027. Write to office@tomarimarina.example or come to Harbour Office, 2 North Quay, and leave the request with Ada Okonkwo. Give the length of the boat and say whether you want a finger on A, B or C, or a swing mooring up to 9 m. A request becomes a berth once it has been walked and signed.
Walk the berth
Before you sign, walk the berth with Tomas Reyes, the dockmaster. He shows you the finger or the mooring, the cleats, and where water and 16A power sit on A, B and C. You see the low water for that pontoon, 2.0 m, 2.4 m or 3.0 m, and the boats that will lie on either side. Allocation happens on the pontoon, with him, during that walk.
Sign the season
Sign the season agreement at the office and pay a 25% deposit. The balance is due by 1 March. When you arrive, the pontoon key is handed over on the first round, at 06:30, as Ines Marlow walks out from the fuel berth. Office hours in the season are 07:00–19:00 every day. By sea, call the office on VHF 12 and wait at the fuel berth.
