Booking winter ashore

Winter ashore at Tomari Marina is a hard-standing place for a boat up to 10 m, from November to March, at €1,150. The price is in EUR and includes VAT. It is not an extension of the season fee, and it is not automatic for anyone who had a finger or a swing mooring from 1 April to 31 October.

The season and the winter sit next to each other on the calendar and almost nowhere else. A season berth on Pontoon A, up to 7.5 m, is €1,680. Pontoon B, 7.5–10 m, is €2,340. Pontoon C, 10–12 m, is €3,120. A swing mooring in the outer basin, up to 9 m, is €960. Those four prices cover the months afloat. When the season ends on 31 October, the pontoon agreement ends with it. November belongs to the ashore list.

Henrik Vale runs the yard and the travel lift. The lift is 25 tonnes. Lift-out, wash and block-off, for a boat up to 12 m, is €240 once. That charge is the work of coming out of the water. The €1,150 is the standing itself through November, December, January, February and March. A boat that needs the lift and the standing is looking at both figures, not at a single bundled price. Henrik agrees the day with the office before the slings are in the water.

Booking it follows the office, not the morning round. Email office@tomarimarina.example or come to the Harbour Office, 2 North Quay, Wrenhaven. Ada Okonkwo keeps the bookings. From November to March the office is open Monday to Saturday, 08:00–16:00. If you are still alongside in late October, VHF channel 12 reaches the marina during the season day, and the office is open daily 07:00–19:00 until the season ends.

The 25% deposit and the balance due by 1 March are the terms for signing a season afloat. They are not the terms written against winter ashore. A request for Season 2027 opens on 10 January and is a different conversation: which pontoon, a walk along the berth with Tomas Reyes, a signature, the deposit, the balance, and the pontoon key on the first round after 1 April. You can ask about winter and about the next season in the same letter. They will be answered as two bookings.

Length is the limit that matters on the hard standing. The published winter place is for a boat up to 10 m. Pontoon C takes boats to 12 m during the season, and the lift-out fee is also published up to 12 m, but the ashore price of €1,150 is the up-to-10 m line. If your boat is longer than that, ask the office before you assume there is a standing place; the list does not publish a second winter price. Depth is a season question, not a winter one: 2.0 m on A, 2.4 m on B, 3.0 m on C and 3.5 m on the moorings, all at low water, all for when you are afloat.

Boats ashore stand under plain covers. There is no other description the marina adds. The yard is beside the quay, and the three pontoons and the 22 swing moorings remain the 100 berths even when many of them are empty. Ines Marlow’s round at 06:30 is a season practice, every day from 1 April to 31 October, about 50 minutes from the fuel berth to the outer moorings. It does not tour the hard standing. Mei Lin Choi’s evening check at 21:00 is a season check as well.

What continues through the winter is the shore side. Samir Haddad’s fuel and pump-out hours are 07:00–19:00 in the working day the marina publishes for that berth; the office week itself shortens to Monday–Saturday, 08:00–16:00. Showers and laundry stay in the yard buildings for people who are here. Lucie Brandt, who has run the marina since 2019, has not added a winter pontoon routine to fill the darker months. The pontoons were rebuilt in 2004 for the season they still serve. Rolf Brandt founded the marina in 1987 as a small-boat harbour, and the winter offer is still just the standing, the lift and the office hours.

If you want the place, write with the boat’s length, whether you also need lift-out, wash and block-off, and whether you expect to be back on a berth on 1 April. Ada will say what is free. Henrik will say when the lift can take you. The fee you are asked for ashore is €1,150 for the up-to-10 m standing, plus €240 once if the boat is lifted, washed and blocked off, up to 12 m. Both include VAT. Both are the whole of the published winter list.

Come spring, the key is not left on the hard standing. A season berth, if you have signed one, is handed over on the first morning round. Until that morning the boat is ashore, the covers are on, and the North Quay of Wrenhaven is waiting for 1 April.
