Orthopedic surgeon, clinical lead at Hone Orthopedics
Who you will see and how they work
Amara leads the clinical team at Hone and has focused on the knee for her whole career. Most of her week is spent with people who have hurt a knee playing sport or who have worn one out over decades of work, and she is as comfortable recommending a physiotherapy plan as she is booking an operation.
She sees new knee patients within the same week wherever she can, and she asks every patient to bring their imaging and a list of what they would like to be able to do again. She reviews her own surgical cases with the physiotherapists every month.
