What to bring
Request a visit online or call (604) 555-0142 by Wednesday 17:00. We reply within one business day, by 18:00, with a time. Your first visit is the same week, Monday to Saturday.
- Any imaging you have (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound), on a disc or a link
- A list of your medications and allergies
- A referral letter if you have one (optional; we see self-referred patients)
- Shorts or loose clothing if it is a lower-limb problem
We can take X-rays on site (2 views, $85) and perform a diagnostic ultrasound of one joint ($160) during the same visit if the clinician thinks it will help.
On the day
60 to 75 minutes
What happens at the visit
You are greeted at reception, shown to a consultation room and seen by the clinician you were matched with. They ask what has happened, what you want to get back to, examine the joint and talk through the next step. Imaging, if needed, is done on site.
Before you leave you receive a plan in writing, a date for a follow-up if you need one and a clear list of what to do in the meantime. If a surgeon recommends physiotherapy first, we can book the first session before you go.
A new patient consultation with a surgeon is $240 (40 minutes of consulting time within the 60 to 75 minute visit). Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice is $50.
