The Crate
The Crate
Every standard crate brings nine varieties of freshly harvested produce directly from our partner fields to your kitchen. Sourced from six regional farms within sixty kilometres of our packing barn, each delivery arrives on the day it is picked.
In the crate
Nine Kinds from Field to Table
A standard crate holds approximately 4.5 kilograms of fresh vegetables and greens, carefully balanced across nine distinct varieties. Rather than overfilling your kitchen with surplus produce that risks wilting in the crisper drawer, we assemble a focused selection designed for a full week of home cooking. Each box typically includes crisp salad leaves or cooking greens, sturdy root crops like carrots and beets, dependable kitchen staples such as potatoes and onions, and a seasonal culinary herb. Because our six partner farms harvest everything on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, every leaf retains its natural moisture, firm texture, and field-fresh vitality when it reaches your counter.
A Four-Season Harvest Calendar

Spring [ Radishes ]
In spring, crates feature crisp radishes, tender spring onions, young lettuces, and sweet early greens.

Summer [ Herbs ]
Summer brings abundant leafy greens, flowering dill, sweet carrots, and fragrant herbs picked under the morning sun.

Autumn [ Roots ]
As autumn arrives, our boxes transition to hearty kales, rainbow chard, earthen beets, and newly dug field potatoes.

Winter [ Keepers ]
During the colder winter months, members receive robust brassicas, cold-hardy winter greens, and cured root vegetables that store exceptionally well in a domestic kitchen pantry.
Kitchen Storage and Vegetable Care
Because our vegetables are harvested only hours before delivery, they arrive with significantly more vitality and a longer shelf life than typical market produce. To keep tender greens and chard crisp throughout the week, rinse them gently in cold water, shake off excess moisture, and store them wrapped in a clean linen towel inside your refrigerator. Root vegetables like carrots, beets, and potatoes prefer a cool, dark, and dry cupboard away from direct sunlight, where they remain firm for weeks. Fresh herb bundles thrive when trimmed at the stem base and placed upright in a small glass of fresh water on your kitchen worktop.
