Our Growers
Our Growers
Hatake Greens partners with six independent local farms situated within sixty kilometres of our Wren Valley packing barn. By collaborating directly with dedicated regional growers, we support thoughtful land stewardship and ensure exceptional harvest quality.
Six farms
A Six-Farm Regional Partnership
Our vegetable membership relies on close, long-term partnerships with six independent farms located within a sixty-kilometre radius of 14 Orchard Lane. Ines Calder, co-founder and grower relations lead, works hand in hand with farm operators throughout the planting and harvest seasons. By coordinating crop schedules well before seed goes into the ground, we establish fair prices for growers while eliminating the surplus waste common to speculative farming. This direct relationship keeps family-run acreage productive, protects local soils, and ensures our crates represent the very best produce our surrounding valley can grow.
The people behind the rows

Hana Moreau [ Farm ]
Hana Moreau manages Moreau Field, dedicating her fertile valley acreage to delicate salad leaves, tender kales, and vibrant Swiss chard. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00, Hana and her field crew walk the morning rows with harvest knives, cutting greens while morning dew covers the foliage.

Rafael Ortiz [ Farm ]
Specializing in cool-weather root vegetables, Rafael Ortiz oversees Ortiz Roots on deep, sandy loam soils ideal for straight, sweet taproots. Rafael supplies our crates with crisp Dutch-style carrots, bright red radishes, and rich earthen beets.

Priya Nair [ Farm ]
Fragrant culinary herbs are cultivated by Priya Nair at Nair Herb Garden, where parsley, dill, cilantro, and seasonal aromatics are hand-tied into fresh bundles on harvest mornings. Meanwhile, Kwame Mensah manages Mensah Hill, cultivating rolling hillside plots dedicated to newly dug field potatoes, firm yellow onions, and hearty seasonal brassicas.
