Hatake Greens delivers morning-harvested field vegetables directly to twelve neighbourhoods within 40 kilometres of our Wren Valley packing barn. Instead of storing produce in distribution hubs for days, we bring seasonal greens and vegetables to your door on the very day they are harvested.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, our crates offer a steady rhythm for everyday cooking. Whether you prepare meals daily or cook simple dinners during the workweek, each box provides clean, soil-grown vegetables picked that morning by local growers.
Why a short crate
A short crate is a full week.
Nine varieties are enough to cook hearty meals all week without letting forgotten produce wilt in the refrigerator drawer. By curating a balanced selection of sturdy roots, crisp leaves and versatile cooking vegetables, we remove kitchen waste before it begins.
We work strictly with six partner farms within 60 kilometres of our barn. Keeping our supply chain short means crops stay in the ground until the morning of delivery, preserving their natural flavour, moisture and crisp texture.
Direct delivery on harvest day removes unnecessary storage, cold warehouses and middle distributors. You receive vegetables at peak vitality, while our regional growers receive fair, steady income for every harvest.

Growers cut crisp lettuce, chard and greens at dawn while the fields are still cold and wet with dew.
Washing and sorting [ 7:30 ]
Vegetables arrive at the Wren Valley barn to be washed in cold water troughs and inspected by hand.
Crating and loading [ 9:00 ]
Nine varieties are packed into reusable wooden crates and loaded into vans for same-day delivery.

Frequently asked questions
When does delivery take place?
Deliveries occur every Tuesday and Thursday between 14:00 and 19:00, depending on your neighbourhood route.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to twelve city neighbourhoods within 40 kilometres of our Wren Valley barn: Riverside, Old Mill, Canal Quarter, Northgate, Linden Park, Harbour Row, Elm Hill, Station Square, Westbrook, Fairfield, Southbank and Kestrel Heights.
How do crate returns work?
There is no deposit. Simply leave your empty wooden crate on your doorstep and our driver will collect it on your next delivery day.
Can I skip a week or pause my membership?
Yes. You can skip a delivery, change your crate size or pause your membership anytime before Sunday at 20:00.
Where does the produce come from?
All vegetables are grown by six regional partner farms located within 60 kilometres of our Wren Valley packing barn.
How can I reach member support?
