02 — How the formats differ
01
Discovery Interviews and Concept Tests
Discovery interviews are designed to explore underlying customer attitudes, habits, and unresolved frustrations. Spanning four weeks, this study includes eight one-to-one sixty-minute interviews conducted in Studio A or Studio B, complete audio recordings, verbatim transcripts, and an actionable written report, with pricing starting from $9,800. For teams evaluating new offerings, our Concept test runs over five weeks and examines twelve participant interviews. Using printed concept cards, tangible mockups, and structured paper exercises, we test initial comprehension and value perception before development begins. Priced from $12,400, this engagement concludes with an interactive client readout workshop and detailed evaluative documentation.
02
In-Context Visits and Survey Follow-Ups
When customer actions must be understood within their natural surroundings, we conduct In-context visits over a five-week timeline. This engagement consists of six intensive home or workplace visits, accompanied by photographic notes, environmental observations, and an exhaustive synthesis report, starting from $14,500. To combine depth with statistical validation, our Interviews plus follow-up survey spans seven weeks. We begin with twelve moderated in-person interviews to uncover fundamental themes, followed by a quantitative survey of 400 respondents designed by Jonah Mensah to measure the prevalence of our qualitative findings across a wider market, starting from $18,900.
03
Readout Workshops for Existing Research
For organizations that have accumulated substantial research data but lack consensus on interpretation, we offer a dedicated Readout workshop. Over a structured half-day session held in Studio A or at your corporate offices, our senior researchers review your existing study materials, organize evidence on paper charts, and facilitate cross-functional alignment. Priced at a flat rate of $2,400 for a one-day commitment, this engagement helps teams resolve conflicting stakeholder assumptions, extract actionable product priorities, and translate dormant research archives into concrete next steps without commissioning an entirely new multi-week fieldwork project.
