The room

The listening room is at Oto Audio, Pelgrimsgang 14, 3011 Rotterdam. It is 28 m², with treated walls, and it has been the centre of the shop since Ines Vermeulen and Tomasz Wójcik opened in 2012. Ines still hosts the hour.
Both speaker pairs are in the room: the Oto S5 bookshelves and the Oto S8 floorstanders. All three headphones are ready too: H1 Open, H2 Closed and P7 Planar. You do not have to book a tour of the whole range. One hour is 60 minutes, held for you, and it is free.
Most of what we sell, you can hear first. The house range is eight products, tuned in this room. The hour is how that claim is kept ordinary: same tracks, volume matched, notes in words, and time left over to sit with one thing you like.

Your music
Bring your own music.
People arrive with a phone, a laptop or a USB stick. That is the music we play. We also stream when you would rather not bring anything. The tracks stay constant while the headphones or the speakers change, so you are comparing the equipment against music you already understand.
The room can do this properly because it is a fixed place, not a corner of the counter. Treated walls, 28 m², two speaker pairs and all three headphones ready. If you are choosing between the H1 and the H2, you can hear the leak as well as the tone: the H1 and the P7 leak, and the H2 keeps sound in. If you are choosing speakers, the S5 is the small-room pair and the S8 is the pair for 20–35 m².

Open Tuesday to Saturday.
