October 2026
0.1.12
A new Sites page, a free address by default, and more hosts.
- New Sites page: manage a site apart from putting it online, set its address, or delete a site hosted for free.
- Putting a static site online now gives you a free address by default, and you can connect your own address for free.
- Kinsta, xCloud and Cloudways connect with an API key; SiteGround and DigitalOcean connect by SSH.
- A new “Download” button in the top bar brings files or the database from your host into the current site. It runs in the background and shows progress, and the downloaded database is adapted to your local copy.
- “Apps” is now called “Hosting”, and Connectors have their own item in the sidebar.
0.1.11
Start a site from your host, create host sites from inside the app, and fewer password prompts.
- Start a new site by downloading one from your connected host (Home → From your host).
- The Go live window can create a new website on your host right there (Hostinger on your plan, InstaWP temporary or permanent).
- A new version now downloads in the background first; click the update notice and ShipPress restarts straight into it.
- If a site has a WooCommerce shop, ShipPress explains why ShipPress hosting and the static copy don’t fit and offers a button to use a WordPress host. SSH now comes first among the ways to connect a host and also works in Simple mode.
- Fixed macOS asking for your keychain password again and again.
0.1.10
Use your own AI assistant to run ShipPress.
- Your own AI agent (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and others) can now operate ShipPress through MCP: create sites, give Workers instructions, edit content and put sites online. Each app’s setup text copies with one click.
- ShipPress asks you first when the agent wants to switch sites while Workers are busy, or to delete a site.
- “Create account” for Hostinger now opens Hostinger’s home page.
0.1.0 – 0.1.9
October 11–19, 2026The first nine releases, in the first nine days: from the very first Mac app to a complete way of building and publishing a site.
- Build by chatting: describe a site and an AI builds it as WordPress on your own computer. Preview, Tools and Canvas sit side by side, also in Simple mode, and a clean Mac needs nothing else installed.
- Choose your AI: Claude and Grok first, then Codex and Antigravity. Install any of them in one click without a terminal, and give each Worker its own model and thinking effort.
- Point at what you mean: select or circle part of the preview and talk about it in the chat, with four preview sizes. The canvas lets you edit cards, see posts and templates, and pinch to zoom. You can change a site’s design and keep what you already edited, and the design wall has search and filters, with an offline copy.
- Share and report: share a site from your computer to your phone with a link, a QR code and a password (it stops after two hours), and report a problem from the app after seeing exactly what will be sent.
- Go live your way: ShipPress hosting (static, with a trial address and domain purchase inside the app), a static copy, or your own WordPress host, all in one window, with a short walkthrough the first time.
- Trusted and self-updating: ShipPress for Mac is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without the “unidentified developer” warning, and it checks for updates every hour and when you return to the window, waiting while a Worker is still editing. If you are on 0.1.4 or older, download 0.1.5 once from the website; after that, updates are automatic.
- And more: Settings in tabs, a full-screen note while a site opens, Mac-style shortcuts, Chinese/Japanese/Korean keyboards no longer send a message when you confirm a word, site icons, and web search for the AI (it asks before opening another site).
