Our Team
Hibiki Speech brings together seven dedicated professionals who share a deep commitment to calm, individualized speech and language therapy. Working collaboratively from our Westmere clinic, each team member brings focused expertise to children, adults, and families.
Early language and childhood communication
Our pediatric clinicians provide compassionate care for our youngest communicators and their families. Founder Ines Halvorsen is a speech and language therapist specializing in late talkers and early language acquisition for children aged two to six, helping toddlers build functional spoken vocabulary through play. Therapist Lukas Brandt focuses on autistic children and picture-based communication, designing structured augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) frameworks that give non-speaking children reliable tools to express desires and connect with their world. Therapist Noor Haddad concentrates on speech sound development and its vital links to school-age reading and early literacy, helping children resolve articulatory substitutions so they approach classroom learning with confidence. Each therapist works directly with parents, turning clinical techniques into joyful everyday home interactions.
Adult rehabilitation, voice and stammering
Our adult services are led by experienced clinicians dedicated to restoring communication dignity and vocal stamina. Therapist Mateo Lindqvist works with adult clients recovering from stroke, addressing aphasia and profound word-finding difficulties through dignified, real-world conversational strategies. Therapist Amara Osei supports teenagers and adults who stammer, guiding clients through speech modification techniques and building authentic speaking ease for presentations, interviews, and social interactions. Therapist Mina Castell specializes in vocal care and rehabilitation for occupational voice users, including teachers, singers, and professionals who speak all day, addressing chronic hoarseness and vocal fatigue. Our clinicians conduct unhurried forty-five-minute sessions, ensuring adult clients feel thoroughly respected, supported, and empowered to regain command of their voices in daily life.
Clinic coordination and family support
Every smooth experience at Hibiki Speech begins with our family coordinator, Claire Dumont. Claire is the welcoming voice on the phone when you first contact our clinic, conducting our free fifteen-minute introductory consultations and matching each client to the appropriate specialist therapist. She manages our clinic diary to uphold our promise that new clients are seen within two weeks of their initial call. In addition to scheduling, Claire handles billing and prepares itemised receipts formatted specifically for private health insurance reimbursement. Whether you need directions to our Linden Row rooms, assistance rescheduling an appointment, or clarification regarding session fees, Claire provides prompt, empathetic administrative care that lets families focus entirely on their therapy.
