Marcus Bell has a ten-minute routine for every family who buys a car from us. It starts in the driver’s seat, before the key is turned, and it is the reason his customers rarely call to ask where the controls are.
Move the seat until your knees are slightly bent. Set the mirrors so you can only just see the side of your own car. Then sit in each back seat and check that the belts, the latches and the headrests work for the people who will use them.
If anything is stiff, loose or confusing, tell us in the first week. Adjusting a seat rail or a mirror takes five minutes in the service bay and costs nothing on a car we sold you.
