08:00
Practice
Handover practice
Handover practice starts at 08:00 and is the first station of the teaching day, Monday to Friday. Students stand around an empty bed with blank clipboards and practise the account they would give the next person: what was noticed, what has been done, and what needs watching. The bed is empty so the group can attend to the words. This station is practice, not a lecture, and it is over when bioscience begins at 08:30.
The day line on the home page marks the same six times, and 08:00 is the first of them. A ward day starts with a handover, so the college day does too. Nobody is asked to invent a history for the empty bed. The clipboard stays blank until there is something true to write.

08:30
Lecture
Bioscience lecture
The bioscience lecture starts at 08:30, in a room seen from the back, with the lecturer beside a plain anatomical model. Dr. Kwame Boateng is the bioscience lecturer. The station is theory, set between handover and the lab hour, so the morning is not all hands and not all talk. Students have already practised a report at 08:00.
They will be at a bench by 10:30. The lecture is the hour in which a structure, a term, or a process can be named before anyone is asked to use it. The model on the bench is a teaching model, not a patient.

10:30
Lab hour
The lab hour
The lab hour starts at 10:30. It is the practice station in the middle of the morning, and the ratio is fixed: 6 students to 1 instructor in every lab hour. The skill of the hour might be a dressing on a manikin arm, with the instructor’s hand pointing at the work, or another single task the skills lab has set. It is one skill, not a circuit.
Tomás Arriaga RN, Head of the Skills Lab, keeps the group on that skill until it is steady. Students do not leave the miss behind by starting a second task. Leila Haddad’s story from her first term, The first reading I got wrong, belongs to this hour. The lab hour ends before lunch, and lunch is not used to finish the skill in a rush.

12:30
Break
Lunch
Lunch starts at 12:30 and is the break in the teaching day. Students sit at a long table in a bright canteen, with trays, and they talk. The station is marked Break on the day at home, and it is a real stop, not a hidden seminar. Morning stations are over: handover at 08:00, bioscience at 08:30, the lab hour at 10:30. The afternoon has not started.
Ward simulation begins at 13:30, so lunch is the hour between a bench and a simulated ward. The college does not assign a topic to the table. People eat, and they speak to the students they have just worked beside. A day that runs from 08:00 to 16:30 needs this gap if the afternoon is going to be fit for simulation and for debrief.

13:30
Simulation
Ward simulation
Ward simulation starts at 13:30. A student checks a drip stand beside a manikin in a simulation ward bed, and the station is practice of a different kind from the lab hour. The skills lab at 10:30 is a bench and one skill. The simulation ward is a room that behaves like a ward: a bed, a stand, a manikin, and an instructor who can stop the scene. Yuna Seo RN is the simulation ward instructor.
Noah Petrov’s placement story is about a real ward, not this room; the photograph of the drip stand is also how this station is shown. The scene is calm work. There is no distress staged for effect. Simulation lasts until debrief, and debrief is where the scene is talked through.

15:30
Debrief
Debrief, until 16:30
Debrief starts at 15:30 and runs until 16:30. It is the only station with an until, and it closes the teaching day. The instructor and four students sit in a low circle and talk through what the day held: the handover, the lecture, the lab hour, the simulation. The chip on the home row for this station is Reflection.
Yuna Seo’s line for the simulation ward sits comfortably here as well: We stop the simulation and talk it through before we leave. Rosa Lindgren’s story, Back after eleven years, is told against this circle, because Return to Practice uses the same kind of conversation. The day ends at 16:30. Office hours at the front desk run longer, until 17:00, but the teaching day does not.

Term rhythm
Across the 6 terms of the Diploma of Nursing, the clock does not change. Monday to Friday still begins at 08:00 and ends at 16:30, with the same six stations: handover, bioscience, the lab hour, lunch, ward simulation, and debrief until 16:30. The Diploma is 3 years and starts in September. The next intake is Monday 6 September 2027. Applications run from Monday 15 February 2027 to Wednesday 31 March 2027, shown as 2.15 ▸ 3.31, and close at 17:00 on the last day.
The Foundation Term is 12 weeks and starts in June. Return to Practice is 16 weeks and starts in January. Those two programmes do not have a second timetable printed here. What does change across the Diploma years is placement: 400 hours, then 450, then 550.
